Armin Van Buuren teases the tone of fifth artist album ‘Intense’
Preserving the high-end of global dance music has never looked easier than in the hands of endowed trance veteran and recurring DJ Mag Top 100 champion Armin Van Buuren. With landmark appearances at UMF and Madison Square Garden already behind him for 2013, the man behind A State of Trance and Armada Music is set to drop latest artist album Intense on May 3. Far from a straight up trance album, Armin’s fifth full-length offering draws influences from across the musical spectrum to create one of his most comprehensive full-length concepts to date. With initial album previews “This Is What It Feels Like” and “Who’s Afraid of 138?” stirring a buzz ahead of the official release, the confirmation of collaborative spots from Nervo, Emma Hewitt and Grammy award winning Israeli violinist Miri Ben-Ari highlight the all-encompassing values that look to resonate throughout Intense. But the excitement doesn’t end at another full-length offering, with a summer residency at the legendary Privilege Ibiza and subsequent world tour asserting that Armin is taking no prisoners for 2013.
