With Spring Awakening, Lollapalooza, and the first-ever EDC Chicago, it’s clear that the country’s third largest metropolis is quickly rising into the ranks of top dance music destinations in the states this year. Just earlier today, Billboard got the scoop on the first wave (no pun intended) of artists set to perform at the second annual Wavefront Festival on Montrose Beach.

Even competing with Insomniac’s Electric Forest last year, the festival managed to draw 40,000 to the shores of Lake Michigan over two days, so this year should be an even bigger success for the nascent event. With artists as diverse as Scuba, Cosmic Gate, Crookers, and Nicolas Jaar amongst this talent roster, there certainly seems to be something for every type of electronic music lover.
