Movement Detroit announces stage shakeup for its eighth year
As techno’s finest American festival, Movement Detroit, draws nearer and nearer, the festival continues to pull the tricks out of its proverbial sleeve for excitable fans ready to travel to the genre’s birthplace on Memorial Day Weekend.
Not only will Red Bull Music Academy be taking its talents to the main stage with headliners like Richie Hawtin, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Squarepusher, the Beatport Stage is also getting an upgrade. Beatport will move to the east river location, or the “pyramid” stage for those festivalgoers who are familiar with the set up of Hart Plaza.
In the spirit of a little Michigan love, Movement Detroit is now also working with Insomniac’s Electric Forest Festival on their first ever stage set to feature a slew of up-and-coming artists like The M Machine, Griz, Gramatik, and Big Gigantic.
Tickets are still available at the 3 Day GA $89 price, but prices will increase on May 1st. Get them here now.
