London based disco advocate Blende makes further firm yet nostalgically tinted waves with a fresh remix for Belgian glam rockers The Van Jets. With past remix duties ranging from Lana Del Ray to Skrillex, his take on “Broken Bones” drops eclectically far from the tree of the grungy modern rock original. In a strong spell of sophisticated synth work, the young Swedes’ balance of warm instrumental values and toe-tapping stamina spells the perfect equation for modern disco house floor filler. Whilst the world waits patiently for Daft Punk’s reformed legacy to unfold once more, Blende reminds us that their influence has never sounded better in such capable hands.
