Doorly – The Boom Boom Room EP Vol.1
Hailed as one of the more eclectic forces to hit global club land of late, British house advocate Doorly drops a two-track debut for Toolroom Records. Off the back of a bass-heavy remix for Steve Aoki’s “Come With Me,” the LA-based tunesmith leads into Boom Boom Room EP in the eclectic manner we have come to expect from his scattered studio repertoire. Where “Wait Until The Morning” exercises low-end driven house with the tense vocal work of Marlo, percussive B-side “The Sleazy Drummer” juxtaposes its predecessor with sample-driven house music leaning towards the sunnier landscapes of global club land. With no sign of exposing himself to a good pigeonholing, Doorly packs a surefire standout for Toolroom’s summertime artillery.
