Between unprecedented leaps and bounds for his global profile and the Ibiza residency to end all summer sprees, you’re unlikely to have heard any less of the name Solomun this year. Kicking off his new residency at Pacha this month, the German heavyweight returns to his own Diynamic imprint with a haunting take on his craft’s more organic ranks. A dark and sombre soundscape of low-end club fuel elevated with an emotively charged twist, the balance of melodic vocals and murky composition found in “YesNoMaybe” makes for another instant win for a man who can seemingly do no wrong as the poster boy to underground house music and its apparent renaissance.
