Viceroy, San Francisco native and fine purveyor of the “summertime all the time” mentality, teamed up with the French Horn Rebellion brothers for the blissed out, 80s tinged “Friday Night” — and now it’s time for the remixes. Jessie Andrews and Rush Midnight throw their solid editing hats in the ring, but the standout remix award goes to 20 year old Mexican producer Bronx on his Night Dub. Replacing raw synth work with a more padded variety and stripping the track down to its more foundational elements. A dub doesn’t always allow a track to grow and breathe, but in this case the simplicity works.
