EDC by the numbers: Medical incidents up, arrests down

With an event of EDC-proportions, hosting over 300,000 fans, there is due to be arrests, ejections, and hospital visits. The numbers from this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival are in, and while there had been a decrease in arrests, medical incidents increased from the 2012 event. This year there were 53 felony and 6 misdemeanor arrests compared to last year’s 62 and 8, while 614 medical calls and 9 hospital admissions were made compared to last year’s 485 and 16. Only 63 attendees were ejected this year, compared to 130 last year, but traffic citations jumped from 0 to 16.
