Rusko’s return to the studio under the label supervision of OWSLA has already proven impressive with the release of “Takeoff,” and now one of dubstep’s most recognizable names follows up with an airy drum n’ bass output “Starlight.”  Set to be released on his forthcoming EP, Lift Me Up, Rusko attaches an enchanting OWSLA-esque vocal sample to a smooth drum-laden foundation. Reminiscent of the sound and style that made him one of the best in bass music, “Starlight” represents the softer, more mature side of the woo-boosting producer exchanging heavy hitting kicks with ethereal melodies and gripping percussion that nudge, rather than punch, you into its bouncy groove.  Lift Me Up will be released via OWSLA on July 2nd.
