Pete Tong brings his hosting talents to 80 more US radio airwaves
Dance music tracks have been prevalent on public access radio stations in the United States for some time now, slowly edging out pop princesses and boy bands for dominance. But while EDM tracks are now readily radio available, the presence of reputable hosts offering educated commentary has been lacking — until now. Legendary host Pete Tong is bringing his talents to American airwaves with the recently announced “Evolution with Pete Tong” show featuring a weekly chart of the USA’s favorite dance tracks, Tong’s essential new tune of the week, and guest mixes from reputable names.
The one-hour program can be heard daily on Evolution 101.7 in Boston, 93.5 in Miami, and iHeartRadio’s Evolution channel and now will be broadcast on almost 80 stations nationwide. “By partnering with Premiere to develop Evolution with Pete Tong, we will be giving more terrestrial stations a great entry point for broadcasting EDM content on-air, and a platform to break and showcase more Electronic Music across America,” says Tong of the opportunity.
