Ed Banger mainstay Breakbot takes on the indie rock vibes of Thom Mars and Phoenix with his remix of the band’s single “Trying To Be Cool.”  In line with many of Breakbot’s past productions, the mix is encased in a heavily filtered synthetic fog and disco atmosphere. Driven forward by Thom’s unique vocal style and characterized by a nostalgic warmth, the Frenchmen’s interpretation utilizes throwback Seventies sensibilities and distorted guitars riffs to transform the indie rockers’ original into an easily digestible disco house outing.
