Sander Van Doorn, Santé and Justin Jay take over this week’s Essential Selection
House music’s favorite tastemaker Pete Tong is back with his weekly Essential Selection packed with delicacies from every genre. Opening up the show with progressive mainstays including “one of the most played songs at EDC”, “Animals” by Martin Garrix, and what will sure be a smash hit, “Legacy” by Krewella and Nicky Romero. Later on Pete premieres Like Mike and Dimitri Vegas’ Tomorrowland anthem “Chattahoochee,” indie-dance favorites Bondax‘s new track “Giving it All” and Maya Jane Coles “Burning Bright” featuring Kim Ann Foxman.
Sander Van Doorn presented us with his goodie-goodies giving Dancing Astronaut a proper shout-out in the process citing Martin Garrix as one of our Breakthrough Artists to watch this summer. Along with Martin’s “Animals” he picked his own tracks “Neon” and DubVision & Mako collab “Into The Light.”
This week’s Essential New Tune was given to Hot Since 82‘s remix of Rudimental’s “Right Here,” while L.A.’s Justin Jay was named Pete’s Future Star. Notorious house legend DJ Sneak was knighted into Pete’s Hall of Fame, while the Weekend Hot Mix came by way of Germany’s Santé.
