Trance and progressive house affinities aside, Audien’s music is objectively awesome. While “Wayfarer” struck a chord with the entire dance community back in January, “Iris” has already received support across the aisle from Hardwell to Rob Swire. The Anjunabeats-signed production grabs you immediately with its underlying bass distortion, reverb-coated snare, and arpeggiating soft synth. The track moves on to a mouth-watering breakdown, pacing the way for a brilliant progression of energy. We can’t help but relate Audien’s newest original to the charming zeal some of Arty’s older, trancier productions.
