Nearly three months after Sander van Doorn uploaded his tentatively titled “Neon Project” to SoundCloud, the highly coveted summer single has gotten its official release. While Sander has dabbled in everything from festival to tech house over the past year, progressive house is where he excels. With its whistling melody and elegant string work, “Neon” is a keen display of Sander’s mastery over the genre. In many ways, “Neon” feels like the rightful heir to Eleve11‘s “Koko,” and a fantastic one at that. Both the original and club mix are released today on Doorn Records.
