The reign of the mashleg has certainly seen artists rethink their approach to peak time dance music. Ex-hard dance outfit Showtek are no exception, following-up on their recent remix for Alesso & Dirty South’s “City of Dreams” with a Dutch house amalgamation for Spinnin Records. Joined by We Are Loud and Dutch MC Sonny Wilson, the brotherly duo endeavors to do the unfathomable: unite festival primed electro house and jump-up drum & bass for one of the founding pinnacles in Dutch dance music. A stripped back offering of stone-hopping substance, “Booyah” brings significant old school rave stamina to the equation, adding perhaps the most distinct bomb to their artillery just in time for the remaining summer festival season.
