Erick Morillo arrested, charged with sexual battery on a woman
Erick Morillo has been arrested and charged with sexual battery on a woman. The alleged incident occurred at Morillo’s Miami Beach home in December 2019. The accuser, a woman who was working as a DJ at a private event on Star Island alongside Morillo, reportedly visited Morillo’s nearby home after the event with another woman. The group had drinks at Morillo’s residence, and while there, the accuser told police that Morillo “made several advances towards her, some sexual in nature, but she refused all of his attempts.”
According to the arrest report, the accuser was intoxicated and went to find a room to sleep in by herself. When she awoke, she was “nude on the bed with Mr. Morillo standing on the side of the bed also nude,” the report states. Although Morillo denied the allegations throughout the months-long police investigation, he turned himself over to police when the results of a rape kit tested positive for his DNA.
