On the latest release from Dillon Francis, dance music’s resident jokester gets a little personal. The song, “Without You,” is a classic breakup song, filled with angst, regret, and ultimately hope. Dillon himself even confesses that Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs wrote and sang the lyrics to the song to help the situation he was going through at the time. The song is definitely more poppy and melodic than some of Dillon’s recent offerings, but if anything shows a refreshing bit of breadth in his growing and maturing sound and style.
