After debuting “Young Love” in July, Felix Cartal is unveiling another tune off his forthcoming Past Present Felix EP. The new single “New Scene” turns once again to the feminine vocals the Vancouver native so skillfully spins tunes around, this time calling on the pipes of L.A.’s Ofelia. Taking on an indie songwriter flavor, the track has minimal tone work under the lilting vocals, relying on chords and an easy beat instead of builds and bleeps. Simply constructed but sonically sound, Felix cemented the tune’s place as beyond EDM by tagging it with one word: “music.” Released through Dim Mak, the tune is due out with the rest of the EP on August 6th.
