Nile Rodgers confirms more dance music collaborations, hints at Daft Punk live show

After accompanying the robots on their public emergence at the VMAs following the video premiere of “Lose Yourself To Dance,” their second collaboration that follows “Get Lucky,” Nile Rodgers says that Daft Punk isn’t the only electronic act he’s working with. While his collaborations with Avicii are well documented with “Lay Me Down” from True being one of six completed records, it’s being confirmed that the disco legend has been in the studio with David Guetta and that they’ve already cut two tracks. Rodgers claims “it’s a good year for me and dance music,” before going on to reveals that he’s been working on some underground focused music with Tensnake and Chase & Status.

“The guy I’m working with mostly right now is Avicii. We’ve cut like six records together and we’ve got the new record with Adam Lambert. We just cut three records last week. My God, David Guetta! I’ve already done two tracks with [him]. And some more underground stuff with Tensnake, Chase & Status.”

When asked about performing with Daft Punk in a live setting, Nile attempted to keep his lips sealed but simply left it at: “Something might happen.”
