Skream continues the disco train with ‘Rollercoaster’

Well-regarded dubstep pioneer Skream has made his love for disco quite clear. While his remixes to Duke Dumont’s “Need U (100%)” and Rudimental’s “Hell Could Freeze” walked the line between house, deep, and disco, Skream’s latest original is a representation of his full metamorphosis.¬†From quick and clean guitar licks, to Sam Frank’s falsetto, to the Latin keys,¬†“Rollercoaster” is quintessentially disco. The tune draws an obvious semantic comparison to Ohio Players’ “Love Rollercoaster,” and could easily serve as a modern re-imagining of the 1975 disco classic. The track is tentatively scheduled for an October 27th release.
