The House of Blues cancels second Zedd appearance; One dead, two injured at concert in Boston
Boston.com reports a tragedy at The House of Blues last night with one of Zedd’s last tour stops of August. It’s been reported that police responded to calls of drug overdoses at 12:42 after the venue’s on-site medical unit transported patients to local hospitals. One female was subsequently pronounced dead while one male and one female both remain in serious condition as of this morning. Zedd’s second appearance had been canceled Wednesday night and The House of Blues will reopen for the weekend. A spokesman for the club:
“As always, the safety of our guests is our top priority. Last evening, there were guests at our venue in need of medical treatment during the performance. They were assisted by Boston EMS as well as on-site emergency medical personnel and then transported to local medical facilities. One individual has unfortunately passed away and our thoughts go out to their family and friends for their loss. This matter is under investigation and we are continuing to work with local officials.”
