Tom Middleton remains a force to be reckoned with on the front lines of British dance music. He’s an undisputed compilation king and this month debuts for Anjunadeep with two-tracks indicative of his ongoing stamina from outside the industry comfort zone. As featured on James Grant’s recent Anjunadeep 05 compilation, “WYV AUW CHU” harbours liquid progressions and murky melodic undertones from the outset, leaving “GODA CEE YUU” to relish in the deeper and groove driven edge of Middleton’s scattered musical calling card. With the respective “Beatless Mix” and “Ambient Mix” of “WYV AUW CHU” bringing more compositional dimensions to the accomplished A-side, Middleton’s agenda remains focused, coherent and necessarily outlandish for what we hope to the first of many stints for Anjuna.
