Daft Punk release first video from ‘Random Access Memories,’ join Nile Rodgers and Pharrell in ‘Lose Yourself To Dance’

Before Random Access Memories went from a near mythical fragment of imaginations to a top-selling album flying off shelves across the world, Daft Punk attested — in one of the few opportunities they took to speak out — that there would be no music videos from their long awaited album and that its marketing would replicate the process of music during an earlier era. Well, when the robots made their appearance at MTV’s VMAs teasing “Lose Yourself To Dance” before presenting an award, the idea of a visual-less RAM seemed gone.

Now following that teaser with the full-length video, “Lose Yourself To Dance” has Thomas, Guy and collaborators Pharrell and Nile Rodgers suited in YSL performing their groovy hit in front of a small crowd. Shot with a vintage appeal, Daft Punk’s first music video in years comes with integrity to the album’s well preserved theme of eras past.
