Though the official remix package for Duck Sauce’s “It’s You” hit shelves in late July, a latecomer to the party received an official sanction from none other than A-Trak himself. The Netherlands’ NT89 hooked up with fellow countryman Jeff Fressco on their mix, bringing a darker house sound to the quacktastic tune. More accurately called an overhaul than a remix, the pair distorted, de-tuned and down-tempoed the rockabilly lyrics while building an entirely new sonic structure to support it. Subtle where the original shouts but danceable in a way all its own, the remix gives us even more of “It’s You” to love while we wait for more of Duck Sauce 2.0.
