OWSLA’s BBC 1Xtra After Dark Series is off to a phenomenal start. After last week’s heavy, 40-track offering from Kill the Noise, this week features San Francisco trio The M Machine for arguably the series’ best mixtape to date.  With a tantalizingly diverse track selection and frequent vocal overlay from Charlie Chaplin’s famous speech in The Great Dictator, The M Machine’s hour-long mix recalls the best elements of Mat Zo’s February Essential Mix.

Having just unveiled Metropolis Remixed, the mixtape is naturally inundated with potent renditions from the remix album. Supplementing the mix are countless underrated tracks from Modeselektor, Jaymes Young, and Robotaki, as well as some unreleased originals from The M Machine.
