This past August, Henrik B, Niklas Gustavsson and Peter Johansson joined forces for the powerhouse collaboration “Echoes.” Released on Avicii’s LE7ELS, “Echoes” resonated with the label head’s own impeccable melodic focus, driven forward by a soaring top line and euphoric chord progressions. This time around Italian newcomers Merk & Kremont take their shot at the track, installing a gritty electro backbone into the original’s catchy hooks. Twisting the melody into a funk-fueled acid break, the duo push the track into overdrive – leaving only its punctual vocals intact.
