While you may know Greta Svabo Bech as the angelic voice on “Raise Your Weapon” or “Chronicles Of A Fallen Love,” the Faroese songstress has embarked on her solo career – almost. After several successful collaborations, the young singer released her first single this July, aptly titled “Shut Up & Sing.” Two months later, the song is getting a rework in the form of an EDM remix package, with Zeds Dead, Designer Drugs, The Frederik and GSB Uncovered signed up for remix duties. Instead of ramping up the pretty percussive tune, DC and Hooks took things down a notch with a delightfully understated dub rendition. By countering bare vocals with basement wobbles, the rework gets Greta the right amount of grimy by emphasizing the “music” in bass music. Already played out in Zeds Dead sets, the track will be officially released September 6th.
