Amsterdam Dance Event sets new records in its eighteenth year
One day after from the end of arguably the largest week in dance music of the year, we can already confirm this year Amsterdam Dance Event was bigger and better than its ever been before. It is just as much a festival as it is a conference and networking opportunity for thousands of dance music professionals from around the world — with 300,000 festival attendees and over 5,000 conference delegates clocking in this year.
In the course of the five day event, those 300,000 fans had the opportunity to see 2,156 different artists at over 300 events in 115 different venues. From on the ground, we can attest that the scale and scope of the event, although at times overwhelming, was an honest and creative interpretation of the global dance music culture in 2013.
