Though loyal Cash Cash fans will recognize the group’s newest release as not exactly new, 2012’s “Overtime” has finally been given an official release on Big Beat (or Spinnin for those of you outside the U.S.). Poppy, playful and boundary-pushing, the track features a childlike chorus foiled against a soul singer’s wail. Add in synth work that alternates between a lilting sixteenth note melody and laser-like blips, and you have an instant stuck-in-your-head hit.  Hitting Beatport the same day as their Icona Pop “All Night” remix, we’re hoping the overdue “Overtime” release has cleared the pipeline for truly new material from the talented Jersey trio.
