DA Exclusive Preview: 3LAU & Moiez feat Project 46, Daphne – Crime
There is no doubt that 22 year-old mashup master Justin Blau, better known as 3LAU, doesn’t take his title as the “up-and-coming name to watch in dance music” lightly. He is in the middle of his own 3LAU Your Mind Tour, has upcoming dates for his collaborative Night Riot Experience Tour with Carnage, and is on the brink of his latest album release, coming on October 29th. His upcoming Dance Floor Filth 3 is a compilation that returns to 3LAU’s mashup style roots by adding layers of hip-hop, pop, and acapella influence to some of dance music’s most popular, heavy-hitter songs. Fans of the North American electro-house producer may be familiar with some of these mixes; 3LAU explains due to popular demand after he premiered these tracks on his mix series 3LAU Haus and live sets, he decided to release a short album that includes his Krewella, Martin Garrix, timeflies mixes and more.
As a teaser to Dance Floor Filth 3, 3LAU is releasing his first exclusive preview to the premier original track from the album here. “Crime” is a big room electro-house tune that features stunning crystal vocals from Daphne and Project 46. Along with fellow producer Moiez, 3LAU has created a high-energy original that unfolds into a detailed melodic progression lift. This big room sound will be available for free download tomorrow along with Dance Floor Filth 3.
