Dannic remixes Armin van Buuren’s ‘Intense’ title track

As Armada fans worldwide gear up for ASOT650, the label’s front man has just given us something else to look forward to. This week Armin van Buuren posted a preview of Dannic’s rework of his own “Intense,” giving no release details but setting off arguments about genre superiority across the twittersphere. In this instance of house vs. trance, Dannic’s big room tendencies picked up where the already progressive tune left off, making the builds bigger and seemingly minimizing Miri Ben-Ari’s literal violin while preserving its melody. A solid rework from the young Dutch producer, those within the trance family who are raising a fuss seem to be forgetting their history: the Revealed rockstar has already proved his stripes with remixes of Sem Thomasson and BT, Nadia Ali & Arty.
