Diplo’s untitled movie adds writer Sascha Rothchild to project
As we patiently anticipate more details of Diplo’s 20th Century Fox movie, little tidbits of development make their way to the surface. Within the last day, we’ve learned that Fox has begun negotiations with Sascha Rothchild to rewrite the tale described as “8 Mile meets Project X.” In short, Rothchild is a television and film writer, known for her entertaining, comedic, and sometimes offensive blogging for Politics Daily and Psychology Today Magazine. She’s been featured on This American Life, published in Simon & Schuster’s Mortified book, and found further successful with her comedic memoirs entitled “How To Get Divorced by 30”; an established writer indeed. While we still wait for a title and more details on the film’s plot and casting, we’re excited to see what Rothchild’s pen can lend to the project.
