Remixing Dirtyphonics is no easy task but on his remix of “Hanging On Me,” Kastle proves that his finesse in the studio matches the finesse of the swinging beats he so deftly creates. Nearly unrecognizable from the bass heavy dubstep original, Kastle’s approach takes Liela Moss’s vocals and turn them into a sex driven siren song. Tossing aside the anthemic chord progressions and splintered kick drums, his rendition literally hangs on every melancholy vocal cut — all while hidden underneath a haze of fluttering percussion.
