Duck Sauce unveil ‘Radio Stereo,’ second single from upcoming ‘Quack’ album
A-Trak and Armand Van Helden may have originally promised an October release for their upcoming Duck Sauce album, and although presumably delayed, they did deliver a chunk of their new material this past weekend with an Essential Mix that’s already being hailed as one of the year’s best. Though it seems the album will drop later this quarter, it’s now been confirmed to be entitled Quack, and the second single will be “Radio Stereo,” which was one of the premiere Essential Mix selections dropped early into the two-hour mix.
Though the track has been floating around the web early this October, as has its Bingo Players remix, it will begin to make bigger strides now that attention to Duck Sauce is magnifying by the day. Steering clear of classifications while encompassing funky-urban-electronica and nu disco, “Radio Stereo” samples a UK new wave record that dominated charts during the early 1980s — making for an appropriate successor to “It’s You.”
