EDM fans keep getting younger and younger, 8-year-old wants to meet his hero deadmau5
Forever engulfed by talk of an imminent EDM collapse, it seems tastemakers are forgetting of the newest generation of house music lovers – children. In this cute story from Calgary, Canada an 8-year-old boy has fallen into an obsession with the mau5, wanting nothing more than to meet his so called hero. The boy has stated he will draw a different version of a deadmau5 head until he meets the man himself and even started a twitter account (@draw4deadmau5) to get Joel’s attention. Luckily, he did capture the legend’s eye with a reply from the mau5 stating “sometimes if you keep your word, then it might come true.” Deadmau5 has been retweeting his drawings and interacting with the boy, proving Joel really does care about his fans, no matter what age.
