Hardwell releases MAKJ collaboration ‘Countdown,’ marks another anthem for the books

Hardwell‘s dominance of 2013 has been impossible to ignore since claiming the year as his own at Ultra Music Festival this March. The then-unidentified hits that filled his landmark set have been slowly revealing themselves over the past seven months, with their impact strengthening exponentially with each subsequent release. Through the summer months particularly, his Dyro collaboration “Never Say Goodbye,” work with W&W on “Jumper,” and remixes for the likes of Krewella and Mark Knight have put chart-topping aspirations  of electronic contemporaries out of reach as the young producer has run full steam ahead.

Adding another anthem to his catalogue of hits, Hardwell has finally released his collaboration with MAKJ, “Countdown,” which has been on the clock since the aforementioned Ultra appearance. Many of the recent big room records that have taken dance floors by storm pale in comparison to the festival-ready elements of “Countdown,” as Hardwell and MAKJ deliver provocatively on all ends. One listen through answers any question of hype and even sends a reminder of what a proper main stage staple should sound like.
