AC Entertainment is just a few days away from bringing some serious noise to downtown Asheville, NC. Mountain Oasis Electronic Summit is a three day festival that brings not only a staggeringly diverse lineup, but a panel of talks and seminars hosted by artists and other figures throughout the weekend. Dance music fans are certain to recognize bass headliners Bassnectar and Pretty Lights, and indie electronic breakthrough act Disclosure and deep house guru Claude VonStroke further add to the festival’s list of eye-catching names. Though Mountain Oasis Electronic Summit is bringing some of the world’s leading talent to the Asheville scene, there are some smaller print talents that you shouldn’t miss if you’re attending the festival this weekend.

The summit kicks off on Friday, October 25th with Bassnectar, Neutral Milk Hotel, Purity Ring, Claude VonStroke, xxyyxx, and other various performances. Another name to note that night is Jacques Greene, a leading pioneer of the garage, nu-disco wave of dance music that recently hit the mass audience and received an incredible welcoming response. This Canadian producer consistently delivers entrancing, haunting tunes that send chills up your spine while keeping your foot tapping to the beat. His set is sure to be one of a kind in the naturally beautiful surroundings of Asheville.

Cashmere Cat has turned heads in the dance music scene for both pushing the boundaries of remixing and producing everything from minimal, nu disco sounds to bass-heavy kickers. His flexibility when it comes to genres is unsurpassable; just look to his Diplo & Friends BBCR 1 mix, where you’ll hear anything from “Bugatti” to Justin Timberlake’s “Senorita” and other unexpected remixes. Cashmere Cat brings the funk 100%, so be sure to kick off your Saturday the right way.

Asheville saves the best for last with T. Williams on Sunday, October 27th. Currently acting as support for rising superstars Disclosure, the fellow Brit holds his own ground in the garage indie electronic genre. His freshly released EP Feelings Within is golden and upbeat, giving you that “sun shining on your face” feeling. The producer brings a new grooving energy to his mixes, focusing on crystal vocals and complex back beats.
