Trent Cantrelle returns to X for vocal offering ‘Born’
After opening the floodgates to Steve Angello’s latest musical brainchild with the Nice & Close EP back in May, Trent Cantrelle is back in full-effect for X with a fresh vocal cut for the final quarter of 2013. In the wake of X’s definitive first strike, “Born” offers the North American producers attempts at uniting underground aptitude with universal properties. Stacy Barthe’s topline in no way digresses from the slick and rhythmically refined undertones of Cantrelle’s musical compass, instead wrapping around the tracks filtered melodies and high-end grooves to forge a more intimate shade of melodic house music from this impending label veteran. With no shortage of new talents on hand to bless the Size Records offshoot, this New Orlean’s talent remains a welcome player to the label and its fast-ascending agenda for new age house music.
