Boys Noize pays tribute to Chicago's Dance Mania
For Boys Noize’s latest endeavor, the Deutsch DJ is taking things back a step. Boysnoize Presents: Dance Mania serves as a tribute to the revered Chicago house label, bringing Dance Mania-inspired tracks and label regulars together to celebrate its legacy. Active from 1985 to 2000 and finally relaunched this May, the label housed some of the most influential names of the era and is considered the birthplace of ghetto house. To highlight its distinct sound, Boys Noize has assembled label founder DJ Funk and members Feadz, SCNTST, Strip Steve and Bok Bok & Tom Trago along with a new crop of funkier house enthusiasts that includes Bart B More, Harvard Bass, and the Boysnoize records founder himself in a 13-jackin’-track compilation.
