DA's Sunday Morning Medicine

Sunday Morning Medicine is a feature from Dancing Astronaut dedicated to the mellower side of electronic music. We bring you our favorite therapeutic selections — old and new — in an attempt to alleviate the agonizing effects of a long weekend of partying.

This week’s edition of Sunday Morning Medicine features oldies like Kaskade’s “Seeing Julie” and newer tracks such as Dillon Francis’s “Without You.” We’ve also included artists like Sound Remedy, Klingande, and Peer Kusiv to set the tone for your Sunday morning rehabilitation.

1. Klingande – Jubel (Original Mix)

Somewhat tribal in nature with its drums and maracas, “Jublel” is fresh, upbeat, and makes listeners feel as though they’re on a tropical island.

2. Dillon Francis- Without You ft. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (Original Mix)

Showing off Dillon Francis’s softer side, this record about breaking up may not be how you’d like to start off your Sunday morning. Instead, focus on the calmer beats and floating vocals to alleviate your weekend hangover.

3. Peer Kusiv – Let Her Go (Original Mix)

Always a favorite, “Let Her Go” contains delicate guitar strings and percussions with a house-y twist that instantly transforms a sadder track to pleasant ear candy.

4. Lana Del Ray – Video Games (Sound Remedy Remix)

Try on Sound Remedy’s remix of “Video Games” for size. It’s got a little bit of everything, from trap to electro, to Lana’s sweet vocals.

5. Kaskade – Seeing Julie (Original Mix)

Throwback to 2003, when Kaskade was famous for producing deep house. Coming out on his debut album It’s You It’s Me, fall back in love with Amy Michelle’s soothing vocals and trumpet by Nathan Botts.
