Brotherly Dutch duo Dubvision have been a vital benchmark for quality to the melodic ranks of electronic dance music. Off the heels of accomplished remix duties for Afrojack’s “The Spark” and their Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano collaboration, “Triton,” the duo returns to Sander Van Doorn’s label to show that obnoxious drops need not rule the global sound scope. Whilst there is little denying that “Rifler” beckons a far harder sound from the duo than that of their graceful shot into the limelight, “All By Myself,” their intense compositional core and striking melodic instrumentation still remain paramount to their sound. Balancing the adrenaline fueled with the outright beautiful, the duo refuses to let go of their proven melodic tendencies and, even under the umbrella of Doorn’s peak time favoring imprint, DubVison remains a force intertwined with quality at the forefront of European dance music.
