Dutch DJs launch #DonateAndDance event to support Typhoon Haiyan victims
As humanitarian workers begin the daunting task of aiding the survivors in the Philippines and assessing the damage caused by the historic Typhoon Haiyan, the dance community has also taken steps to be a part of the recovery process. With Afrojack urging fans to donate and Axwell using his own proceeds to do so, Ferry Corsten has taken things a step further by organizing #DonateAndDance, a fundraising show to take place on November 20th at Amsterdam’s club Panama.
Blasterjaxx, Dennis Ruyer, Jacob van Hage, Marco V, Oliver Twizt, Quintino, Sandro Silva, Sied van Riel and Ferry himself will be performing at the event and donating the proceeds to the Dutch GIRO 555 calamity fund. Tickets can be purchased for 10 Euro at #DonateAndDance’s website, where those within The Netherlands but unable to attend can also make donations.
For those in the U.S. interested in sending aid, The Red Cross is accepting donations here.
