Flume pulls out all the stops for deluxe edition of 'The Mixtape'
The 22-year-old dynamo from down under known as Flume had emerged nearly one year ago, and he’s been riding his waves of success since. His unique music is characterized by it’s unmatched sexiness; although always funky, and sometimes abstract, Flume’s uncommon style has certainly set him apart from the slew of up-and-coming producers across the spectrum. While already boasting accolades as a solo artist, the young artist is also one half of production duo What So Not. The collective, alongside partner Emoh, serves as an outlet that allows him to showcase his versatility in crafting more bass-heavy music with grittier trap influences.
Flume’s efforts such as “Holdin On” and his famed remix of Disclosure’s “You and Me” have generated much of his momentum this year, but unrelenting as ever, he still continues to display a well-roundedness. Coming into play with the release of The Mixtape, a package of his top-notch originals, Flume goes further to weave hip-hop with deep waves of bass for a deluxe edition that artistically ranges from the sensual to the soulful.
