Renowned Dutch trailblazer Sander Kleinenberg may have concealed his studio work over the past several months, but his return to the spotlight is starting to look ever so sweet. Having launched back with “Elenore” earlier in the month, the This Is Recordings head honcho unveils a brand new mix for hometown peer Ilse De Lange. Whilst Kleinenberg has openly admitted to being a DJ first and foremost, his focus comes to the avail of productions that immediately gel on the modern club floor.

Behind the wheel of “Blue Bittersweet,” Kleinenberg makes no exceptions, striking significant harmony between his own practiced indie dance tendencies and the full-bodied vocal work of Lange’s soulful original. The rich instrumentation and foot tapping intrigue are still in full swing, signifying that this welcome peak in studio movement from one of the more outspoken Dutch legends and VDJs of the past decade just may be the shape of things to come.
