New duo Galantis makes an entrance with ‘Smile’
Dance music has heard the deafening complaints of over-saturated artists and overplayed tunes for months and jumped at any chance to welcome fresh and talented artists to the scene (see: Disclosure). Today, we welcome Galantis, a duo made up of Linus Eklow, or Style of Eye, and Christian Karlsson, a member of both Miike Snow and Bloodshy & Avant. Their debut track “Smile” just hit the online marketplace and the dance music community has taken notice.
The tune has already received support from some of the most influential names in dance music, including premieres on both Diplo and Pete Tong‘s BBC 1 Radio shows and via Twitter from fellow label superstar, Kaskade. This indie dance tune keeps the message positive and focuses on an enchanting vocal that leads to a pop of upbeat melody and pulsating bass. The duo has been busy promoting their latest release and have yet to announce any news regarding future music and events, but stay tuned and expect to hear more from this up-and-coming group.
