Riot squad shuts down Dada Life, duo offers refunds and announces make-up show
Swedish duo Dada Life has never feared authority, constantly pushing boundaries for larger, wilder shows and staying true to their party-hard slogan tunes like “Born to Rage.” Earlier this week at Dada Life’s Dada Land tour stop in Miami, attendees were greeted and halted at the door by a police force, dressed in full riot gear. As supporting artist Tritonal finished their set, Dada Life began to reach out to fans, seemingly as confused as the crowd was.
“Apparently Fire Marshall locked the gates since it’s pretty much chaos here in Dada Land … Did they shut us down?” Soon after, the duo explained, “Riot squad is here in Dada Land … They are shutting us down. It’s out of our hands! So sad we can’t play.”
Though details regarding the shut down have been simply explained as “logistical issues” by management, the duo ensures all ticket buyers are able to receive a full refund for the cancelled event or attend Dada Life’s rescheduled ‘make-up’ show on December 28th in South Florida.
