DA Premiere: My Favorite Robot – Sharpest Tongue
With bouncy and low key synths, My Favorite Robot’s minimalist track ‘Sharpest Tongue’ combines elements of indie music with electronica. A refreshing revisit to retro sounds from the previous millennium, the track’s music video highlights senior citizens wandering, dancing, and shuffling through a dated bowling alley. Combined with a sultry and smooth vocal line, this is a track not meant for festival main stages but rather late night private grooves.
With a remix album Atomic Age Remixes EP recently released, My Favorite Robot is poised for big things in 2014, and kicks off the new year in Los Angeles before jetting off to winter haven of electronic music at the BPM Festival. Dates after the break.
