Disclosure – Latch (DJ Premier Remix)
Just one day closer to Disclosure’s Settle remix album’s release, and we’re hit with DJ Premier’s edition of the original album’s first hit single “Latch.” The anticipation of this particular remix has been anxiously buzzing around the internet for the last week, and of course Preem delivers. Acclaimed as hip-hop’s greatest producer of all time by Rolling Stone, and just about everyone else, DJ Premier slows down the beat to transform the Lawrence brother’s garage house smash into a smooth, piano-driven R&B rework. This newly revitalized slow jam meshes with the love-struck voice of Sam Smith perfectly. It’s simply baby-making music. DJ Premier’s remix will be out on December 16th on PMR Records, in advance of the album’s official release on the 17th.
