While Size Records has dominated this year with a plethora of big room hits, Steve Angello‘s five-month old X imprint has done more than get off to a good start. Teaming up for the first time since “Prototype” landed on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings, Don Diablo and CID‘s “Got Me Thinkin” utilizes a glitchy snare drum alongside a massive topline. Although X has a long way to go before it reaches the level of its big brother, the constant stream of both new and veteran artists who are releasing outstanding material prove that the label will become a force to be reckoned with in 2014.
