Thomas Newson, of “Pallaroid” fame, is an artist to watch as we wrap up 2013 and beyond. He and trackmate John Dish’s effort will prove to be a worthwhile addition to the Musical Freedom catalogue, with super clean snares reminiscent of Nicky Romero’s “Flash.” Listen to Kalavela and you just might forget (if only for a fleeting moment) that the summer festival season ended.
